Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos abatement procedures following strict OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and company safety protocols to ensure safe removal and disposal of asbestos materials.
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, negative air pressure units, and necessary equipment to prevent asbestos fiber release.
- Conduct thorough inspections of work areas before, during, and after abatement activities to verify complete removal and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Use specialized tools and techniques for asbestos removal, including encapsulation, enclosure, or removal of friable and non-friable asbestos materials.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all abatement activities, including logs, inspection reports, waste manifests, and safety records.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress, safety procedures, and any issues encountered during operations.
- Assist with related restoration tasks such as mold remediation or general construction support when needed to ensure project completion.
