Building Location: Building B - St Marys Medical Center Department: 2008120 BENEDICTINE SPONSORSHIP - SMMC HOSP Job Description: Oversees Spiritual Care in ways that contribute to the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Areas of accountability include Twin Ports Chaplaincy (SMMC, EHD, & Superior), Clinical Pastoral Education, Grief Support Services, and the Indigenous Cultural Health Specialist role, as well as dotted-line support to supervisors of chaplains throughout the market. Responsible for meeting any applicable requirements of the Joint Commission and any federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agency standards that may apply. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to support a multifaceted team, develop programs and initiatives, collaborate with other disciplines and leaders, nurture connections with community stakeholders, and provide compassionate support for patients and families. Education Qualifications: Masters degree required with a preference in theology, M.Div. or Th.M. Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Credentialed as Board Certified Chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or the Spiritual Care Association.
