Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Junior Estimator / Project Manager to oversee projects from initial customer walkthrough through final project closeout.
This individual will be responsible for developing accurate estimates, helping secure new work, and managing awarded projects through execution. The role requires strong coordination between customers, field teams, vendors, and internal staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and at targeted profit margins.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
• Meet with customers to review project scope
• Conduct job walkthroughs and site evaluations
• Develop labor, material, and equipment estimates
• Prepare proposals in a timely and professional manner
Project Management
• Coordinate project kickoff meetings
• Order materials and manage logistics
• Ensure projects remain on schedule
Financial Performance
• Track labor performance against estimates
• Monitor project profitability
• Capture change orders
Field Coordination
• Work closely with field leadership
• Resolve project issues quickly
Communication & Documentation
• Maintain organized documentation
• Improve operational workflows
Qualifications
Required:
• Estimating and/or project management experience
• Understanding of electrical systems
• Ability to read plans/specifications
• Strong communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience with estimating software
• Change order management experience
