This position is based in the Taunton, MA area and requires regular travel throughout the surrounding region to engage with clients and visit job sites.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Construction Sales
• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure HVAC construction opportunities in the commercial and industrial markets.
• Develop strategic relationships with general contractors, developers, engineers, facility managers, and building owners.
• Attend trade shows, association meetings, and networking events to build a strong pipeline of new business.
• Generate self-driven leads through cold calling, referrals, and territory prospecting.
Project & Solution Development
• Perform site visits to evaluate existing systems, identify client needs, and assess project feasibility.
• Partner with internal engineering and estimating teams to develop tailored HVAC system designs and construction proposals.
• Prepare and present persuasive technical proposals and project bids that align with client budgets and schedules.
• Drive contract negotiations and close opportunities for new construction, renovation, and retrofit HVAC projects.
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
• Maintain long-term relationships through consistent communication, trust-building, and problem resolution.
• Ensure high client satisfaction by coordinating with project management and operations teams to support successful project execution.
Technical & Industry Expertise
• Leverage deep knowledge of mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, VAV systems, BAS controls, and energy-efficient technologies.
• Stay abreast of local codes, industry standards, and emerging HVAC innovations.
• Educate clients on available technologies and recommend the best-fit solutions for their facility needs.
Sales Performance & Reporting
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project status, and pipeline activity in CRM software.
• Continuously refine sales tactics and strategies to improve performance and drive revenue growth.

• 10 years of sales experience in the HVAC or mechanical contracting industry, with a strong focus on construction or retrofit projects.

• Technical fluency in HVAC systems, mechanical design, and construction processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active proposals and clients.
• Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
