Position: Registered Nurse Location: Operating Room Schedule: 36 Hours Days (Call required) As an Operating Room RN, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues Update and manage patient records Enter and interpret computerized data/information Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC-Brighton's nursing organization Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Certification in basic life support (BLS) CNOR certification (preferred) Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification (Preferred) EXPERIENCE: 2 years' registered Nurse experience required 1 year of operating room experience required (2 years preferred) Must be experienced in a circulating role KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas Effective verbal and written communication skills Physical ability to meet job responsibilities Basic computer proficiency Fluency in another language a plus JOB BENEFITS: Competitive pay Staff self-scheduling Weekend shift differentials Highly subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance options Nurse staffing plans that often exceed state standards for quality and safety Employee Referral Program for Registered Nurses up to $7500 Compensation Range: $39.02- $90.05 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
