Education Qualifications: NP: Master's degree in nursing PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Position Overview Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Practice team as a Float Provider. In this role, you will utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills to provide exceptional care to individuals and families of all ages. You will work both independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. This position requires strong customer service skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Float between multiple clinics as needed, including Hermantown Clinic, Lakewalk Clinic, Lakeside Clinic, Proctor Clinic, West Duluth Clinic, Main Urgent Care, West Duluth Urgent Care and Hermantown Urgent Care. Maintain patient-centered care and contribute to a culture of staff resilience. Work Environment Team Structure: Work alongside a collaborative team of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacists, Nurses, Clinical Assistants, and Integrated Behavioral Health professionals. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Patient Load: Estimated 16–20 patients per day. Qualifications Education: Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Physician Assistant: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota. National certification in the applicable area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification). Current CPR certification. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
