POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned, performs a variety of direct patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Position: Certified Nursing Assistant Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West Schedule: Part Time - 32 Hours, Days/Evenings with every other weekend and holiday ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Key Responsibilities: Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential victims of abuse. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. JOB REQUIREMENTS Required Knowledge & Skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: Previous experience strongly preferred Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses "Fundamentals of Nursing I & II." Current BLS certification required. Mandatory De-escalation Education within 30 days of hire. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Required Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
