Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Bartender role based at 201 Bodega in San Francisco, CA. The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, follow recipes and venue standards, and ensure responsible service in compliance with all local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, providing recommendations, and maintaining a welcoming and engaging bar atmosphere. The Bartender will handle cash and electronic payments accurately, manage tabs, and support closing procedures. Additional responsibilities include restocking and organizing the bar, maintaining cleanliness and safety, collaborating with barbacks and servers, and supporting special events and high-volume nightlife service.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests, manage busy crowds, and provide premium hospitality.
- Solid Food & Beverage and Bartending skills, including knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
- Accurate Cash Handling skills, including operating POS systems, managing tabs, and reconciling payments.
- Prior experience in nightlife, bars, or hospitality settings, preferably in high-volume or club environments.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work late-night shifts, and perform in a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere.
- Knowledge of local alcohol service laws and possession of any required certifications (e.g., RBS or equivalent) or willingness to obtain them.
