Qualified applicants should send CV and references to: courtney.foelker@sanfordhealth.org Community Description Job Description The Pulmonology & Critical Care Physician provides specialized care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases and critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). This role involves both outpatient pulmonary medicine and inpatient critical care responsibilities, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex pulmonary conditions, critical illnesses, and multisystem organ failure. The physician works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care aimed at improving patient outcomes. Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree. Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Current medical license in each state of practice. State Controlled Substance License (if required by State) Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice. Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.
