Work Shift: 12p - 12a (mid shift) I. Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care within the assigned unit. Coordinates plan of care with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team. Ensures appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing B. Experience: None. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department and experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtained within 9 months. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. CPT training within 9 months of hire. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Must complete and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the “HHC Primary Stroke Center / Acute Stroke Ready Designation” policy. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment.
