Job Description: Position Summary: The leader of the operations team is responsible for plant manufacturing including safety, quality, operating costs, staffing, direct and indirect efficiency, scheduling, and quality systems including IATF 16949 and ISO14001. Responsible for assisting the Plant Manager in the development and attainment of the business through setting goals and strategies related to manufacturing. Assists the Plant Manager in budget planning and forecasting and adheres to all policies and procedures in manufacturing. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the safety of all Team Members, ensuring the environment is properly maintained and the Team Members demonstrate proper behaviors. Responsible for ensuring all quality policies and procedures are followed by all Team Members including documentation of deviation of standard workflow. Responsible for ensuring that equipment is utilized to capacity and resolve any issues when not at capacity. Responsible for follow up action from Kaizen, Standard Lean Events, Slams that are performed on the production floor. Responsible for follow-up action to eliminate sorts, launches and power builds, etc. Ensures training process is in place and followed 100%. Responsible for working with plant engineering and maintenance to make sure that equipment and machinery is maintained and functioning as intended. Supports the attitude of teamwork and contributes to continuous improvement. Supports and adheres to quality and partners in the achievement of TS 16949 Supports the achievement and maintenance of ISO 14001 May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Education and Qualifications: Four-year degree in a related field, Business, Quality, Engineering, Etc., or equivalent experience Minimum five to eight years of supervision or management experience Excellent communication, ability to give clear verbal and written direction. Strong problem solving and analytical skills to interpret production information. High-level capability with Microsoft Office required, SAP experience preferred. Tier 1 Experience supplying product to OEMs (preferred) Proven leadership and managerial skills, people skills, and personal development Technical knowledge in automotive manufacturing Strong organization skills Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary. Work Environment/Work Conditions: Professional Office Environment You must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor. Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required. Equipment in use requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury.
