About the Role: Job Summary The Employee Assistance Program at NGHS provides services to employees and their immediate/dependent adult family members. Responds to referrals indicating client problems are having negative effects on quality of life and/or job performance. Assess and refers employees to appropriate resources with the goal of maximizing client’s psychological well-being and maintaining a safe, productive workplace. These services include assessment and referral, problem resolution, brief counseling, drug and alcohol case monitoring and follow-up, consultation, training, coaching, and orientation to the organization, along with ongoing interactions with external providers and treatment centers. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: Georgia license in Social Work (LCSW), Georgia License in Professional Counseling (LPC), or Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT). Educational Requirements: Masters Degree in social work, Counseling/Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy. Minimum Experience: 2-4 years’ experience providing adults mental health care in two or more of the following areas: employee assistance, mental health, behavioral health, marriage and family therapy, substance abuse treatment, private psychotherapy practice. Other: Preferred Job Qualifications Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Credentialed as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (or certification eligible). Preferred Educational Requirements: Preferred Experience: Experience in facilitation of Critical Incident and Stress Management (CISM). Three (3) years of experience in a hospital, agency, or institution providing related mental health care services. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge related to substance use disorder interventions, department training and follow-up, gathering feedback from treatment providers on employee progress, and confirm enrollment of the employee in follow-up supports as allowed by regulations. Other: Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic understanding of federal and state labor law including EEOC, FMLA, and ADA. Provision of consultation and training to managers, supervisors, work groups, and Human Resource staff seeking to manage the troubled employee, improve employee or work group job performance, and enhance the work environment. ·Ability to provide Critical Incident and Stress Management (CISM) within required timelines to exposed employees and providers including but not limited to debriefing, defusing grief and loss, and crisis management supports. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Conducts intake assessments when employees and their dependents are referred to the EAP. Provides short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and linkage/referral for employees and their family. Coordinates referral for additional services when necessary. Follows up with employee to assess satisfaction with treatment referral. Initiates and maintains up-to-date documentation in chart. Provides consultation to Human Resources, Employee Health, as well as supervisory personnel. Coaches’ department leadership staff in how and when making referrals to EAP is appropriate. Follows up with management to determine level of improvement in previously identified performance problems. Participates in planning and conducting the education/ training classes requested for the department. Ability to make professional presentations and represent Workplace EAP to internal and external groups. Provides presentations and training on such topics as Stress Management, Conflict Resolution, Team Building, Sexual Harassment and Diversity. Assists in expanding the scope of current EAP operations. Other duties as assigned.
