Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is eager to support the doctors in providing excellent ophthalmic care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary patient workups (visual acuity, tonometry, pupil testing, EOMs)
- Obtain and document patient history and chief complaints.
- Perform diagnostic testing (OCT, VFs, photography, etc)
- Assist doctors during examinations with minor procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment.
- Educate patients on testing, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an ophthalmic technician preferred.
- Experience in optometry or ophthalmology strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the practice.
Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am- 12:00 noon
