Description
Disbursement Service Representative is responsible for processing all files that have been approved for disbursement. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical to this position. This individual should have knowledge of title and settlement services.
Primary Duties:
- Maintains the disbursement spreadsheet and reports all loans disbursed each day.
- Verifies all disbursements for each file and ensures payoffs and dates are correct, verifies funds are received and file is clear to disburse.
- Verifies all wire instructions and initiates all wire requests and prints checks for disbursement.
- Distributes initiated wires and checks to an approver for wire approval and check signatures. Prepares the outgoing mail/packages for disbursements.
- Initiates/Confirms wires and signs checks that have been initiated/confirmed and/or printed by another team member in the department.
- Address inquiries from clients, seller's agents, buyer's agents, internal staff and management in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform daily review of all work in progress to ensure all work is completed in proper time-frame.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge:
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Industry experience within the Closing Services department along with Funding/Escrow disbursement and/or banking, accounting or finance is preferred but not required. ALTA best practices experience preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word); Knowledge of client-based systems; Attention to detail; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; Ability to problem solve in a growing, expanding business; Ability to multi-task in fast-pace environment.
Education:
HS Diploma/GED is required
Associate/Technical Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred
