Lab Technician

Looking for full-time and part-time employees. The shift will be day shift (weekdays with possible weekend availability).

· The primary responsibility of this position will be to handle incoming samples for accessioning, storing, and processing. The processing of samples will include Immunoassay and Clinical chemistry testing that will be done on Roche Cobas E411 and Abbott Alinity C analyzers.

The position is an in-person job that takes place in a lab located in Gaithersburg, MD.

Required Skills/Experience:

· Either a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or have experience, education and training that meets the CLIA requirements under 42 CFR § 493.1489 for Laboratory Testing Personnel.

· Understanding of aseptic technique with a focus on pipetting (lab etiquette)

· Sample accessioning, tracking, storage, and processing experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

· Experience in CLIA Laboratory setting

· Immunoassays and associated instrumentation

· Clinical Chemistry and associated instrumentation

· Setting up and running automated laboratory equipment

· Inventory

· Maintaining instrument logs

· QC / QA experience preferred

*While experienced lab techs are preferred, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation is market competitive and based on the experience and the expertise of the selected candidates. Candidate should have a legal work permit to work in the US.

Salary: From $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
