Overview
2 Fast Logistics is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Yard Spotter to join our driver team. The Yard Spotter plays a critical role in ensuring efficient yard operations by moving trailers, organizing dock doors, and supporting our warehouse and dispatch teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and organized yard.
Responsibilities
- Safely spot, move, and position trailers within the yard, at dock doors and between local warehouses
- Ensure trailers are placed correctly for loading and unloading
- Conduct pre- and post-move inspections of yard equipment and trailers
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, dispatch, and management
- Maintain yard organization and report any safety concerns or damages
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and DOT regulations
- Assist with general yard duties as needed
Experience
- Valid Class A CDL
- Previous yard spotter or truck driving experience required
- Strong understanding of yard safety and trailer handling
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends if required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb in and out of yard trucks
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
