Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly through sanding, scraping, cleaning, and surface repairs to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray painting), and other hand tools with precision and efficiency.
- Use power tools safely for tasks like sanding or minor repairs while adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Select appropriate coatings based on project requirements, including interior/exterior finishes, structural painting, industrial coatings, or restoration work.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hazardous materials with respiratory protection and following safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members on construction sites to meet deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial coating applications within construction environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (airless sprayers, drills), and spray equipment (conventional and construction spray painting).
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection practices.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating quantities or surface areas.
