Job Summary
Join our compassionate team as an In-Home Giver / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury
- Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment to support overall well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care best practices
- Hands-on experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
- Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement
- Experience with group home settings or long-term care environments is highly valued
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
