Modification Specialist
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare construction-to-perm loan modifications and schedule signings with borrowers
- Prepare completed modification packages for delivery to secondary investors
- Assist with construction loan draw administration
- Assist in process of builder approval applications and annual re-certifications
- Work closely with direct supervisor to deliver and implement systems and process changes to create efficiencies in workflow
- Perform miscellaeous tasks and projects as given by direct supervisor and senior management
- Remain flexible as role and responsibilities may change as secondary department and company priorities change
Job Requirements
- Understands mortgage real estate lending practices, including federal, state regulation and 1st Signature Lending requirements
- Effectively communicate with borrowers
- Meet all required deadlines on the loans in the pipeline
- Maintain daily workflow prioritization
- Demonstrate skills as a team player by providing superior customer service, while being flexible and approachable
- Demonstrate ability to review and complete quality assurance checks prior to loan closings
- Identify red flags within files and ensure each red flag is addressed prior to approval/closing
- Works with staff and co-workers as a team in analyzing and solving situations that may arise in the mortgage origination loan process
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Prior mortgage experience strongly preferred
- Accounting or collections work preferred
