Commercial Electrician

The Commercial Electrician's primary goal is to ensure the complete electrical system passes the Final Electrical Inspection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervisory quality control experience preferred.
• Must be proficient and comfortable working with large 3 PHz services and switchgear.
• Analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace solar devices and systems.
• Receives wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs. Installation, MPU’s, Photo documentation and electrical inspection work to be performed.
• Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials and principles of operation of electrical equipment. Help Management optimize electrical on projects if needed.
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops.
• Plans details of working procedure by determining replacement needs or new material required and develops a logical approach to correct the problem.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to reliably report to work as scheduled.

In addition to the above, the Commercial Electrician will be responsible for:

• Final Installation and Finish: Complete all final electrical installations.
• Pre-Inspection Checklist and Quality Control: Conduct a thorough internal review to check that all work complies with the approved plans and the National Electrical Code (NEC), as well as local codes.
• Testing and Verification: Perform final operational and safety tests on the entire system.
• Coordination with Inspector: Be present and prepared to walk the site with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) electrical inspector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
