Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with vitals, rooming, pre charting, injections, and treatments, ensuring smooth clinical workflows.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems accurately for efficient documentation and data retrieval.
- Provide health education to patients regarding treatment plans, medication usage, and preventive care strategies.
- Monitor patient conditions during visits, report findings accurately, and escalate concerns as necessary to the medical team.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and handle manual tasks such as patient positioning and transfer with care.
- Support emergency response efforts by maintaining CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications up to date.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clarity and compassionate service throughout every interaction.
Experience
- ENGLISH AND SPANISH SPEAKING IS REQUIRED
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as plastic surgery clinics, surgical centers, or acute care environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices.
- Hands-on clinic experience involving injections, patient condition reporting, and client communication.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR management systems for accurate record keeping and data entry. (ECW)
- Prior work in family, cardiology clinics is advantageous for understanding specialized procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining high standards of patient service and confidentiality.
