Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, pack, and unpack items using proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies
- Operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
- Assist with warehouse operations, including organizing inventory, managing storage spaces, and maintaining cleanliness
- Drive route deliveries efficiently while adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic regulations
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit; unload goods at delivery locations with care
- Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries or accidents
Skills
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations preferred
- Experience in commercial driving, including driving box trucks or personal vehicles for deliveries
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe driving practices for load & unload activities
- Ability to lift heavy items consistently while maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in using mobile devices for route navigation or communication purposes
- Ability to pass drug test
