Job Summary
Join our dynamic moving and packing team as a Furniture Mover, where your energy and dedication will help clients transition smoothly to their new spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing belongings, safely loading and unloading trucks, abiltiy to assemble and install furniture as needed, ensuring every item is handled with care. Your proactive attitude and strong work ethic will contribute to a positive moving experience for our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop versatile skills in moving, logistics, and customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Carefully pack household or commercial items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit
- Load and unload boxes, furniture, and equipment onto trucks with proper lifting techniques and safety protocols
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts to facilitate efficient handling of goods
- Assist with route driving as needed, including delivery and pickup of items using box trucks or similar vehicles
- Ensure all items are secured properly for transport, adhering to safety standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate inventory records during packing and unpacking processes
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their move and addressing any concerns
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse work, moving, or delivery driving preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is a plus
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and route driving is desirable
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work effectively as part of a team
