Position Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans for children with a variety of developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. This role requires creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of individualized physical therapy treatment plans
- Work one-on-one with pediatric patients in clinic and/or school-based settings
- Track and document patient progress; report outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, teachers, and other members of the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging therapy environment
- Support children in reaching developmental milestones through therapeutic play and movement
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program
- Current Florida PTA licensure
- Previous experience with pediatric patients preferred
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and behavioral needs
- Team-oriented and enthusiastic about pediatric care
