Role and Responsibilities
Operations:
- Operating safely commercial vehicles such as box trucks and flatbeds to deliver to various locations
- Receiving, processing, labeling, warehousing and distribution of all incoming stock
- Maintaining documentation (system) and keep accurate records of warehouse inventory and stock
- Providing constant communication with Sales and Operations
- Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
- Ensuring Warehouse is properly maintained and cleaned
- Loading and unloading shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, while ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
- Forklift and Delivery vehicle operations in warehouse and on job sites
- Learning our computer systems for daily activities and job duties
- Learning daily routine responsibilities and executing them
Receiving:
- Verifying all orders for correctness and quality
- Receiving purchased items from Vendors and Suppliers
- Assisting with Truck Loading / Unloading of products
- Verifying all products delivered against the Purchase Orders
- Documenting damages and missing items
- Performing inventory tracking when stocking items
Warehousing:
- Assisting with warehouse tasks such as moving stock, organizing inventory and other tasks assigned by Warehouse Manager
- Ensuring that Inventory and Stocking procedures are being followed and updated in our system
Delivery:
- Navigating routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules while maintaining a positive customer experience
- Performing Order checks prior to departing the warehouse
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery
- Obtaining required signatures for major deliveries
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance for vehicles
- Maintaining working / clean conditions of fleet vehicles
- Maintaining a safe driving record and insurance
Working at least two Saturdays a month on a rotation schedule (would be overtime pay if have 40 hours already that week)
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of lifting 50 – 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to hand deliver materials to job sites with sustained walking and bending
- Ability to adjust to working conditions with temperature fluctuations inside and outside
- DOT physical / drug screen at time of hire
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Warehouse experience (2 plus years prefered)
- Basic computer skills (2 years)
- Valid Drivers license and valid insuarnce required
- Available to work extended hours if needed
Preferred Skills:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate forklift effectively
- Bi-lingual with English and Spanish is a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
