Overview
We are looking for a Technician to join our team! This role involves sweeping chimneys, cleaning dryer vents, and identifying revenue-generating opportunities. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working with customers. You will work alongside the Apartment Lead, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services while adhering to safety standards. Ability to work well with a team is a must.
Duties
- Clean and inspect chimneys and dryer vents.
- Identify revenue-generating opportunities and make recommendations to Apartment Lead.
- Ensure punctual delivery of customer products and services.
- Diligently learn chimney repair practices and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with Apartment Lead.
- Utilize applicable safety equipment.
- Provide courteous and helpful behavior toward customers and third parties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Eager to learn and being mechanically inclined is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with both coworkers and customers.
- Must have an reliable transportation.
- Ability to confidently work on a ladder.
- Capable of carrying up to 80 lbs.
- Have State issued identification.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
To Perform the Job Successfully, an Individual Should
- Be willing to obtain certification through the Chimney Safety Institute of America (not required).
- Demonstrate proven customer service experience.
- Have the ability to work confidently on a ladder.
- Have the ability to carry up to 80 lbs.
- Have excellent communication skills with residential customers.
- Be punctual for all time commitments
- Demonstrate the ability to fill out proper reports.
- Have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities is a plus
- Have a positive, team-building attitude.
- Be self-motivated with a proactive approach.
