Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support their independence and comfort
- Monitor residents’ health by observing changes in condition, vital signs, and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with care plans and dietary restrictions, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Support residents with medication reminders and administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed making, and sanitizing common areas
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers or repositioning
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments such as dementia
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure resident confidentiality at all times
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with residents
- Valid background check clearance as required by state law; experience working in long-term or home health care settings is advantageous

Pay: $21.18 - $25.50 per hour
