We are currently seeking a highly experienced Accountant/Controller to join our team. This is a full-time in-office position with no remote work opportunities. Ideal candidates will bring extensive accounting and financial management experience, along with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Salary Range:

$95,000 – $120,000 annually

(Commensurate with experience)

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of corporate accounting experience (inventory-based preferred)
• 5–10 years of experience in a senior-level accounting or controller role
• Strong experience with payroll processing for 40 employees (including 401(k), garnishments, and commissions)
• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with Acctivate Inventory & Distribution Management Software is a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with senior leadership
• Experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable teams
• Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting required
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CFO to establish and maintain financial benchmarks
• Lead and support the accounting team to promote productivity and accountability
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for senior management
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and perform adjusting journal entries
• Verify vendor pricing and perform multi-level reconciliations between inventory and accounting systems
• Prepare documentation for audits including 401(k), workers' compensation, and AR insurance
• Conduct annual audits with major vendors
• Maintain internal accounting controls and recommend improvements
• Handle insurance renewals (Medical, Workers’ Comp, Cargo, AR, etc.)
• Process reseller refund requests
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare and file quarterly business and sales tax returns (for multiple states)
• Assist CPA with corporate tax filings and quarterly estimates
• Support across the department as needed (A/R, A/P, RMA credits, banking)
• Maintain employee paperwork and coordinate with HR
• Manage insurance claims as needed

Education and Experience:

• Accounting Degree - Bachelor's or higher
• Proven Knowledge of customer service principles and practices & sales procedures
• Similar or Equal product knowledge in the Technology Sector
