Location:
Hybrid, various community centers in and around 19th Ward in Rochester, NY. Some remote work required
Position is open until filled; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting October 1 with an anticipated start date in early December.
Salary:
$22 - $25 per hour, based on a non-exempt, part-time, 15 - 25 hours per week schedule.
Overview
The 19th Ward Community Association (19WCA) has served as a vital anchor institution in Rochester’s 19th Ward for 60 years, fostering civic engagement, neighborhood improvement, and community well-being. To enhance this work, the 19WCA seeks to add a Program Manager. This position will provide stability, strengthen organizational capacity, and enhance services for our members and community partners.
Responsibilities of the Program Manager
- Membership Management: Maintain and expand our membership database, track renewals, and ensure prompt acknowledgments to foster member loyalty.
- Committee & Event Support: Provide logistical support for 19WCA committees and community events, while volunteers retain leadership roles.
- Communications: Oversee social media, newsletters, email, and mail correspondence to improve outreach and engagement.
- Administrative Support: Manage essential tasks such as insurance, payroll, and taxes
- Fiduciary Support: Assist with our fiduciary partners’ projects and programs, ensuring accountability and successful collaborations.
- Governance Policy Support: Work directly with executive leadership to create and implement policies related to the governance of the 19WCA.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
