Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Bartender to oversee bar operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, along with a background in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings, is highly desirable. The Lead Bartender will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring efficient service and adherence to all food safety and alcohol regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise bartending staff to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
- Manage POS transactions using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems for accurate cash handling and sales recording
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing concerns promptly
- Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in training new staff on beverage preparation, POS usage, and customer service protocols
- Oversee the setup for special events such as banquets or catering functions
- Manage night club or retail bar environments, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and safety procedures
- Support the team during busy periods by serving drinks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality industry, including restaurant, nightclub, or banquet settings
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and mixology skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Demonstrated ability in sales, upselling techniques, and customer engagement
- Background in food safety practices and responsible alcohol service (TIPS certification preferred)
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage shifts effectively
