Part-Time Distillery Sales Representative (Outside Sales)

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for building relationships with restaurant owners, bar managers, beverage directors, and package store buyers to increase distribution and sales of 1861 Distillery spirits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, understands hospitality culture, and is excited about representing a premium craft spirits brand.

Perfect for someone who understands commissioned sales positions - like a real estate agent, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with restaurants, bars, country clubs, and package stores
• Conduct regular in-person sales visits and account check-ins
• Present and educate buyers on the 1861 Distillery portfolio
• Secure new placements, menu features, cocktail listings, and promotions
• Coordinate tastings and sampling opportunities with accounts
• Work alongside distributor sales teams to grow market presence
• Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads
• Monitor inventory levels and assist accounts with reorders
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, contacts, and account updates

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable with cold calls and in-person networking
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Organized, dependable, and goal-oriented
• Passion for hospitality, craft beverages, and customer experience
• Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel regularly
• Ability to lift and transport cases of spirits for tastings and events
• Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol sales
