What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Representative – Wholesale Coffee Sales position at 1848 Coffee?
1848 Roasting Co. is growing, and we're looking for someone who wants to help us build the next phase of the company.
We're a New Berlin-based coffee roaster focused on expanding our retail and wholesale presence throughout Wisconsin. We're looking for a motivated, outgoing Brand Representative who can get our coffee in front of the right people and help turn introductions into long-term accounts.
This isn't a desk job.
You'll be out representing 1848 Roasting Co., visiting potential accounts, introducing our coffee to buyers and managers, delivering samples, following up with prospects, and helping us build relationships with grocery stores, hotels, country clubs, restaurants, gyms and other wholesale partners.
What you'll do:
- Identify and contact potential wholesale accounts
- Visit prospective customers throughout the Greater Milwaukee area
- Get 1848 coffee and samples into buyers' hands
- Develop relationships with store managers, buyers and business owners
- Follow up with prospects and help turn opportunities into new accounts
- Maintain a simple sales pipeline and provide weekly updates
- Visit existing accounts and help drive reorders and strong product placement
- Represent the personality and story behind the 1848 brand
Who we're looking for:
You don't necessarily need years of coffee or CPG experience. We're more interested in someone who's personable, dependable, comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation, and isn't afraid to hear "no."
Sales, retail, grocery, hospitality, beverage or CPG experience is a plus.
We're especially interested in someone who wants an opportunity to help build something—not simply maintain an existing sales territory.
Initial compensation: $1,750/month
This will begin as a 60-day paid position with the opportunity to grow into a larger ongoing role based on results and the continued growth of 1848 Roasting Co.
Local travel throughout southeastern Wisconsin will be required.
