Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems TOAST, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
- Manage tables efficiently by bussing, resetting, and ensuring cleanliness to promote a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed in fast-paced environments like fine dining.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members including host/host staff to deliver seamless service from greeting to farewell
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties, including cash handling and making change accurately
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- OpenTable familiarity is beneficial for managing reservations seamlessly
