- Conduct routine inspections of security hardware to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards.
- Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components within electronic lock systems.
- Troubleshoot lock malfunctions promptly to minimize security risks and restore access swiftly.
- Collaborate with clients or security teams to assess locking needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, installations, and inspections for accountability.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to prevent accidents or damage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a related security hardware role.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to use specialized tools including ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Knowledge of electronic access control systems, safes, and mechanical locks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
