Position Summary:
The campus Instructional Aide assists school staff with accelerated student instruction in such a way to
facilitate achievement of the school’s goals.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification and Experience
? High School Diploma or GED
? Valid Texas Paraprofessional Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire
? Must meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associate's degree, OR 60 credit hours from an accredited
institution of higher learning
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
? Ability to work well with children, parents, and school staff
? Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
? Knowledge of general office equipment
? Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English
? Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)
Responsibilities and Duties:
? Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities as assigned.
? Maintain confidentiality of information.
? Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
? Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed.
? Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
? Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
? Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
? Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
? Other duties as assigned.
Salary : $16 - $18
