Seasonal Barback - Birdseye Rooftop

We're looking for energetic, hospitality-driven individuals who love creating memorable guest experiences to join our team as a Barback at Birdseye Rooftop Bar, working at our rooftop pool deck and bar. In this role, you'll help set the tone behind the bar by keeping everything stocked, organized, and running smoothly while supporting the bartending team. You'll play a key part in maintaining a fast-paced, upbeat environment, anticipating needs, and ensuring guests have an amazing time poolside.

This is a seasonal part-time position requiring weekends and holidays.

Experience:

Must have at least one (1) or more years of experience in a full-service restaurant with a combination of previous Food & Beverage experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Set up, clean, and prepare bar area for the start of business.
• Stock garnishes, ice, mixers, and glassware, replenishing as necessary.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks, replenishing snacks, while clearing any trash or tableware for guests.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support the bartender for drink preparation.
• Clear and reset tables in the bar area as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage area.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory as directed by the Bartender or Bar Manager.
• Practice cleanliness and safety in all bar areas, liquor and wine storage areas.
• Transport all dirty tableware from the bar area to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Participate in daily staff meetings and department training meetings.
• Assist team members as needed to promote a teamwork environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand for 8' hours length of time.
• Ability to walk/stand approximately 90% of shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
• Exterior of hotel, including Roof Top Lounge, exposure to sun, heat, cold and changing weather conditions.

• Available in season, April - September, including; nights, weekends and holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
• Ability to stand for 8 hours' length of time.
• Ability to walk and/or stand approximately 90% of shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
• Requires a working knowledge of Food & Beverage service.
• Familiarity with industry relevant Point of Sales systems.
• Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. A second language is desirable.
• The base wage of $11/hr plus tips is calculated upon historical averages and seasonality with total compensation typically ranging between $17-$19/hr.
