Responsibilities

• Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently, including slicers, grinders, and trimming tools
• Maintain food safety sanitizing procedures throughout the production area to prevent contamination
• Package finished products accurately, using proper labeling and sealing techniques
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality control and identify any defective or perishable goods that do not meet standards
• Handle perishable goods with care, managing stock rotation and storage to maintain freshness
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
• Be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.

Skills

• Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, especially within the food industry or retail stores
• Skilled in meat processing machine operation and basic knife skills for slicing, trimming, and meat cutting
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Ability to perform basic math for portioning and inventory management
• Excellent visual inspection skills for quality control and product consistency
