About the Role

1338Tryon is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse and Fulfillment Associate to join our operations team.

This is a hands-on warehouse position. The majority of your workday will be spent receiving, organizing, moving, picking, packing, kitting and shipping physical products in our warehouse.

But this isn't just about moving boxes. It is about accuracy, presentation and speed.

Our warehouse is the last stop for many of the products and experiences we create for our clients. We're looking for someone who understands that accuracy, presentation and attention to detail are part of customer service. You'll work with products representing well-known brands, and you'll be expected to read and follow brand guidelines, project specifications, packing instructions and client requirements.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, likes an organized workspace, takes pride in getting the details right and gets satisfaction from knowing that their work contributes to a great client experience.

This is not a marketing, sales or account-management position. There may be opportunities to learn additional areas of our business over time, but we are specifically hiring someone who wants warehouse and fulfillment work to be a meaningful part of their job.

What You'll Do

You'll help keep products, inventory and client projects moving through our warehouse accurately, efficiently and with care.

Responsibilities include:

Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities, products and condition

Unpack, count, label and organize merchandise

Put inventory away accurately in assigned warehouse locations

Pick and pack individual and bulk orders

Assemble kits, event materials, mailers and promotional packages

Read and follow client brand guidelines, project specifications and detailed fulfillment instructions

Check products, decoration, packaging, labels and other materials for accuracy and quality

Prepare shipments for UPS, FedEx, freight and other carriers

Assist with loading and unloading deliveries

Maintain accurate inventory counts and product locations

Perform cycle counts and help investigate inventory discrepancies

Organize shelves, pallets, supplies and work areas

Break down boxes and maintain a clean, safe and orderly warehouse

Prepare products and materials for client events and programs

Receive returned event materials, inspect them and return usable inventory to stock

Identify damaged, missing, incorrect or off-brand products and communicate issues before they reach the client

Keeping the warehouse spotless and organized at all times

Interact professionally and helpfully with clients, vendors, delivery drivers and other partners when needed

Assist with special warehouse and fulfillment projects as needed

Some days may involve shipping dozens of individual orders. Other days may involve building hundreds of kits, receiving pallets of merchandise, reorganizing inventory or preparing materials for a major event. Being comfortable with repetitive work when a project requires it is important.

Are friendly, professional and comfortable interacting with clients, vendors and delivery partners

Communicate clearly and ask questions when instructions or specifications don't make sense

Are dependable and show up ready to work

Enjoy organizing products and keeping spaces orderly

Can follow detailed instructions and established processes while also using good judgment

Are comfortable working independently once trained

Can shift between projects when priorities change

Don't mind repetitive tasks such as counting, labeling, packing or assembling kits

Understand that sending the right item, in the right quantity, presented the right way, to the right place, on time is part of delivering excellent client service

Are willing to pitch in wherever needed when the warehouse gets busy

Warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory, retail stockroom, hospitality, customer service or similar experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person.

We care as much about attitude, reliability, attention to detail and service orientation as we do about previous warehouse experience.

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse position. You should be comfortable:

Standing and walking for much of the workday

Bending, reaching, lifting and carrying throughout the day

Moving boxes and merchandise safely

Using carts, pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment

Regularly lifting and moving packages associated with normal warehouse and fulfillment operations

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is about becoming someone the team and our clients can count on to keep our warehouse and fulfillment operations running exceptionally well.

This person knows where things belong, catches mistakes before they become client problems, reads and follows brand and project requirements, keeps inventory organized, prepares accurate and well-presented shipments and takes ownership of the quality of their work.

You understand that you may be the last person to see a client's merchandise before their employees, customers or event attendees do. A crooked label, wrong product, incorrect quantity or poorly packed shipment reflects on both 1338Tryon and our client.

You don't have to be an account manager to care about the client experience. Great customer service happens in the warehouse, too.

Compensation & Benefits

$21–$24 per hour, depending on experience
