What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare position at 12Stone Church?
A 12Stone childcare worker will be entrusted with providing excellent care for children ranging in ages 6 weeks – 5th grade during 12Stone events. Childcare workers are responsible for the safety of children, cleanliness of toys and equipment, and will undergo specific training in childcare to make them competent to handle their duties and responsibilities. A childcare worker should be dependable and resourceful as well as compassionate and energetic, so as to develop a rapport with the children in his/her care.

Safety: Manage the childcare environment to ensure safe and appropriate care
- Keep the play area safe and free from hazards
- Remain calm and know what to do in the event of an emergency
- Sanitize play equipment, games and toys on a regular basis to keep them safe and attractive while minimizing the spread of germs
- Assist children with washing hands after toileting
- Assist children with their snacks, drinks and meals as needed.
- Promote good behavior by using positive reinforcement methods.
- Work with Childcare Coordinator to maintain communication with parents about children’s behavior
- Lead and entertain children with creative games and activities
- Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Commitment to personal spiritual growth
- Models standards and expectations of leaders within 12Stone® Church
- Must attend 12Stone® Church
Experience:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 30–40 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check (17 yrs. or older)
- Previous experience in childcare or daycare
- Training in first aid and CPR
- Excellent interpersonal skills
