Purpose of the Role
Senior Project Managers exist to lead the delivery of large, complex, cross-organizational client initiatives while supporting the Execution Leader’s responsibility to drive 120VC’s growth and financial health, ensure the team delivers for the client, develops their team members, and supports their success. They do this by applying 120VC’s proven ways of working to plan, execute, and lead engagements that achieve measurable outcomes. By aligning stakeholders, anticipating risks, and coaching clients in our ways of working, Senior Project Managers ensure disciplined execution, increase client maturity, enable clients to achieve 227% better results than the average, and multiply the impact of their Execution Leader.
Qualifications for the role
- Embody the qualities and values outlined in the 120VC Thrive document
- 7 years of experience as a Project Leader, with Big 5 consulting experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated application of the Agile Manifesto and its 12 principles through specific project examples
- Mastery of an Enterprise Project Management method, evidenced by successful past Enterprise project delivery
- Proficiency in at least one market-leading Project Portfolio Management tool, demonstrated with past project examples
- Proven ability to lead and influence C-level executives effectively
Foundational Responsibilities

- Surface client Challenges | Opportunities weekly for the Account Team meeting
- Ensure your Execution Leader joins at least one client leadership-facing meeting weekly
- Graduate the Transformational Leadership Program with a 90% or higher score
- Demonstrate mastery of 120VC’s Execution Leadership ways of working taught in the 16-Week Transformational Leadership Program
- Lead assertively—guide clients to adopt our ways of working and mature their effectiveness
Professional Responsibilities
- Lead the Challenge | Opportunity process to validate demand and align every project to measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and/or profitability, all to documented 120VC Standards
- Establish and baseline the Charter as the approved execution framework of Purpose, Objectives, Benefits, and Scope, all to documented 120VC Standards
- Establish, prioritize, manage, and groom the Work Plan to ensure all work measurably advances the project’s objectives, all to documented 120VC Standards
- Partner with your Practice Lead to interview, hire, and train future 120VC team members, and to facilitate SOW draft and execution, all to documented 120VC Standards
- Mentor 120VC team members in 120VC ways of working to ensure continuity and client satisfaction, all to documented 120VC Standards
