Job Title: Tour Guide Date: 02/24/23 Job Type: Part Time /Non-Exempt Department: Marketing Location: Wicked Weed Pub Reports To: General Manager Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. As a key member of the Wicked Weed team, the Tour Guide is responsible for sharing the story of Wicked Weed Brewing and educating tour customers on the brewing process at the Pub. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learning the history of Wicked Weed Brewing, our process at the Pub, and the culture of the brand. Conveying this information to all levels of beer knowledge is a must. Leading groups of 10 people (more on large group private tours) on a 30-minute walking tour through the brewery 5 times per shift. Provide a 15-minute guided tasting of 3 beers. Set up and take down of tour station daily. Daily maintenance of tour reservation calendar and email. Follow OSHA Safety regulations yourself and make sure all tour customers are compliant as well while in the brewery. Completing computer-based work, as required to fulfill job or department duties. Basic computer skills including using the internet.. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of craft beer and brewing process. Ability to retain information received during training. Cicerone Certified Beer Server (level one). Experience in customer service. Organized and detail oriented. Well-spoken and articulate in front of a crowd. Ability to guide tour groups through the brewhouse space, ensuring guests don’t touch equipment or move into a space without being directed to do so. High-energy and enthusiastic! Ability to stand for long periods of time. Knowledge in retail sales is a plus. Flexible availability. 21 years old. Education and/or Experience: Customer Service experience a must 2 to 3 years of tour experience a plus If you don’t fit all the above Qualifications, please don’t let that stop you from applying! Work Environment: Rapid changing flow of business That of a busy brewpub, fast-paced Alcohol serving environment The employee frequently must work in an environment with a moderate to high noise level. Busy Restaurant dining areas and full-service kitchen. Available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Physical Demands: Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch. Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell. Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping and light lifting. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery.
