Job Title: Hourly Floor Manager Job Type: Full-Time /Non-Exempt Department: Pub Location: Brew Pub – 91 Biltmore Ave Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 Reports To: General Manager/AGM Brewpub Summary: At Wicked Weed Brewing, we Craft for Better to create moments that unite people and enrich communities. As a key member of the Wicked Weed Brewing team, the hourly Floor Manager is accountable for all FOH activities and must understand POS systems, personnel management and motivation, development and coaching, food safety and customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to manage a large staff effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant/pub environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides consistent, perfected product and customer service and manages operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge and continually improves proficiency, knowledge and morale of all employees Understands front-of-house and back-of-house operations Oversees and manages all FOH operations and POS system during scheduled shift Ensures positive guest service Ensures a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents Understands and maintains facilities at a level exceeding regulatory standards of quality, service and cleanliness, including clean and sour beer lines Provides ongoing feedback, establishes performance expectations and assists with performance reviews Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate will have a minimum of one year successful taproom management experience Cicerone Certified Beer Server (level one) preferred Knowledge of and love for food and craft beer Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to taproom problems Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff The ideal candidate should have self-discipline and the ability to take initiative Strong leadership skills and an outgoing personality are also critical Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree or High School Diploma with relevant work experience If you don’t fit all the above Qualifications, please don’t let that stop you from applying! Work Environment: Rapid changing flow of business That of a busy brewpub dining area and full service kitchen. Late nights/Early mornings, and some holidays Fast-paced The employee frequently must work in an environment with a moderate to high noise level. Hot or humid conditions Cold conditions in the walk-in Steam, kitchen equipment, and chemicals Physical Demands: Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time standing and/or walking. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery. Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch. Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell. Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. safely and with proper body mechanics Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period of time.
