Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Scoop ice cream and prepare sandwiches with precision, maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality.
• Handle cash transactions, including cash handling, making change, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
• Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty treats to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the food prep area remains organized.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service within quick service or fast food restaurants.
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling.
• Previous experience in culinary roles or restaurant environments is highly desirable to excel in this energetic setting.
