Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Scoop ice cream and prepare sandwiches with precision, maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling, making change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty treats to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the food prep area remains organized.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling.
- Previous experience in culinary roles or restaurant environments is highly desirable to excel in this energetic setting.
