Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food preparation tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food handling, slicing techniques, and meal preparation to support the culinary team’s workflow
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food storage practices
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food industry best practices
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Understanding of food safety standards in production, handling, and serving environments
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Pay: $25.00 - $26.50 per hour
