Juvenile Probation Officer/Guardian Ad Litem
Lander County Office

$22.88 - $36.71 Hourly DOE

Monitors and supervises juveniles on probation and Youth on caseload. Pursuant to NRS 432B, represents and protects the best interest of the child. Meets with the child wherever the child is to determine that the child is safe and to ascertain the best interests of the child. Supervise visitation between child and parents.

Education and Experience – Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in criminal justice or a closely related field; OR Associates Degree and two years of full-time paid experience, OR high school graduate and four years of full-time paid experience. A Full-time position requiring on-call status. Must be 21 years of age or older for consideration.

Applicant must successfully pass a drug test, medical examination, psychological evaluation, lie detector test and background check prior to employment. Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada State driver’s license. Possess or have the ability to possess a Peace Officer Standard Training (P.O.S.T.), Category I or Category II.
