Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable Special Assignment Operators to join our clients New Products Department. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling molds, supporting new product development, and safely pouring molten aluminum to create high-quality castings. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable Special Assignment Operators to join our clients New Products Department. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling molds, supporting new product development, and safely pouring molten aluminum to create high-quality castings. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and inspect molds according to product specifications.
- Set up and maintain mold assemblies for production runs.
- Safely pour molten aluminum into molds to produce cast components.
- Monitor casting operations to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Remove, inspect, and handle finished castings.
- Perform basic measurements and quality checks on completed products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following 5S practices.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and properly use required PPE.
- Assist with special projects and new product development initiatives.
- Communicate production, quality, or equipment concerns to supervision.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing, foundry, casting, metalworking, or industrial production experience required.
- Experience working with molds, casting processes, or molten metals is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Foundry, casting, metal fabrication, or aluminum manufacturing experience.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Experience with quality inspections and measurement tools.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, machinery, and molten aluminum.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for extended periods.
Pay: $19.52/hr
