Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through careful tracking and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups, drop-offs, or inquiries.
- Operate a point-of-sale system to check out customers, including running credit/debit cards and handling checks.
- Utilize computers for order entry, label generation, tracking shipments, and updating records.
- Review, manage, and organize paperwork such as packing slips, order sheets, and delivery notes.
- Lift, move, and carry packages or products up to 50 lbs.
- Assist in other areas of the store or warehouse as needed.
- Be open to cross-training and working in multiple roles as business needs arise.
Requirements:
- Customer service/retail experience required – must be comfortable working directly with customers face to face.
- Shipping/receiving experience preferred – familiarity with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong computer proficiency – experience with inventory software, shipping systems, or POS systems preferred.
- Experience with running cards, handling checks, and processing transactions.
- Comfortable with handling paperwork and order forms with attention to accuracy.
- Willingness to be cross-trained and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
