Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating cohesion and alignment across departments, union leadership, management, and the Family of Funds.
- Serve as a liaison between the Family of Funds staff and Union leadership to ensure comprehensive and cohesive outreach at the worksites.
- Collaborate with internal Funds’ departments: Wellness Member Assistance, Member Programs – Citizenship, Home Mortgage, Financial Education - and Pension, Training, and Child Care to ensure integrated Funds’ Days at worksites.
- Apply clinical knowledge of health conditions to deliver and support a worksite strategy of dissemination of information and member engagement at health fairs.
- Engage and support Union officers/leadership at Worksite Health Fairs.
- Build strong protocols and scripting for Funds’ staff presentations to share information at Union Delegate Assemblies and meetings.
- Work with Retiree Programs, Retiree Health and Pension Department to develop a cohesive approach for members who are planning for retirement.
- Utilize metrics and member feedback from worksite events to drive operational improvement plans. Present and discuss recommendations and program changes with Outreach Director.
- Provide updates and briefings to Fund leadership on collaborative efforts and member engagement. Participate in cross functional meetings as needed.
- Regularly attend in-person worksite events, program webinars, and workshops.
- Perform related duties or special projects as directed by management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years related management level experience within the healthcare industry supporting union members required
- Experience working with management and union executives to improve member benefits and programs is essential
- Ability to analyze information, data, and trends to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and propose action plans
- Clinical knowledge of health conditions that would benefit from lifestyle and intervention programs
- Knowledge of the comprehensive package of health, pension, and other benefits available through the 1199SEIU Funds
- Demonstrated experience leading projects or initiatives to successful outcomes
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both union and management staff at all levels, and in various departments
- Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; public speaking skills and ability to present information to management, union members/officers in various settings
- Ability to work well under pressure, maintain composure, multi-task, establish priorities, meet deadlines and goals and follow through on assignments until completion.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel throughout various regions in New York State.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
