Venue Assistant

About the Role
We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Venue Assistant to join the 115 Main team. You'll help our events run smoothly from setup to the last guest out, keep the venue looking its best, and help us share what happens here on social media.
This role is a good fit for someone who loves events and wants to grow in the industry. There's a clear path to onsite event coordination.
What You'll Do
- Help set up, run and break down events, including weddings, birthday parties, showers and other special events
- Cover daytime events as well as some evening and weekend events
- Give venue tours to prospective clients when our Booking & Sales Manager isn't available
- Prepare the venue before events: setting tables, staging décor, getting rentals ready and doing walkthroughs
- Help with routine venue upkeep, like light repairs, cleaning, organizing storage and keeping inventory up to date
- Run local errands for the venue, like picking up supplies, rentals and décor, and making drop-offs
- Be a friendly point of contact for guests, clients and vendors
- Take photos and video at events and around the venue, and help draft and schedule social media posts
What We're Looking For
- Flexible availability, including daytime and some nights and weekends
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Reliable and organized, and you take initiative
- Friendly and confident talking with clients, guests and vendors
- Comfortable on your feet, using stairs and lifting up to 20 lbs
- Calm under pressure
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook or TikTok (Canva skills are a plus)
Event, hospitality or venue experience is helpful but not required. We'll train the right person.
Room to Grow
As you learn the venue and how we run events, you'll take on more responsibility and work toward onsite event coordination: running event days, working with clients and managing vendors.
