Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
We are seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for an experienced mechanic who can maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of construction equipment and commercial trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and diesel trucks.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, steering, and engine systems.
- Maintain equipment to minimize downtime.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Qualifications:
- Experience repairing and servicing:
- Diesel trucks
- Bobcats (skid steers)
- Gradall machines
- Excavators
- Loaders
- Semi dump trucks
- Gas-powered work trucks
- Small construction equipment
- Experience mounting and dismounting tires.
- Welding experience required.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus).
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
